Description

There’s something so refreshing about starting the day with a glass of fresh juice. This apple orange juice blends the sweetness of apples with the bright tang of oranges for a drink that feels like sunshine in a glass.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 Gala apple (or any sweet apple)
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 teaspoons honey, optional
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cut the apple into large pieces and remove the core. Peel the oranges, remove the seeds, and cut them into chunks.
  2. Add apple pieces, orange pieces (or juice), and water to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Press the pulp to extract the juice and discard the leftover pulp.
  4. Stir in honey if desired. Serve immediately for the freshest flavor.
  5. To use a juicer instead, peel and cut fruits, then pass them through the juicer. Stir and serve.

Notes

Add 2 carrots or a small piece of ginger to change up the flavor. No strainer? Use a nut milk bag or cheesecloth. Best served fresh, chilled, or over ice. Great for breakfast or post-hike refreshment.
