Scale
- 1 Gala apple (or any sweet apple)
- 2 oranges
- 2 teaspoons honey, optional
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- Cut the apple into large pieces and remove the core. Peel the oranges, remove the seeds, and cut them into chunks.
- Add apple pieces, orange pieces (or juice), and water to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Press the pulp to extract the juice and discard the leftover pulp.
- Stir in honey if desired. Serve immediately for the freshest flavor.
- To use a juicer instead, peel and cut fruits, then pass them through the juicer. Stir and serve.
Notes
Add 2 carrots or a small piece of ginger to change up the flavor. No strainer? Use a nut milk bag or cheesecloth. Best served fresh, chilled, or over ice. Great for breakfast or post-hike refreshment.
